F-S3 provides large-format audience sound for festivals, live bands and public events using our 7m × 6m Festival Stage.

Planning and booking

Want us to handle the production? You do not need to choose technical equipment yourself. Tell us your event date, location, audience size, timings and what is happening on stage, then contact JJL. We can recommend the stage, sound, lighting and power, and quote the engineers or technicians needed to run the event.

Choosing equipment yourself? Add your preferred stage and add-ons to your enquiry and submit your enquiry. If you or your production supplier will provide consoles, microphones or crew, tell us what you are supplying so we can check the connections and avoid duplicating equipment. We will confirm suitability, availability, delivery, staffing and the quotation before the booking is confirmed.

The planned system uses twelve compact powered line-array elements—six per side—and two high-output dual-18-inch subwoofers. The final make and model will be selected to meet or exceed the required performance and may be supplied from our own stock or professionally sourced.

Indicative system performance

• Line-array elements in approximately the 1,500–1,800W peak and 130dB peak SPL class
• Subwoofers in approximately the 4,000–5,000W peak and 140dB peak SPL class
• Representative audio power draw approximately 3.3kW at one-eighth power

Typical audience guide

Normally suitable for audience areas of approximately 800–1,500 people.

Audience figures and technical ratings are approximate planning guides. Final suitability depends on the programme, required sound level, audience layout, coverage distance, site noise limits, available power and weather conditions. Additional subwoofers, fills or delays may be recommended for bass-heavy events or challenging sites.

This is the speaker and amplification system only. Choose one of our shared M1, M2 or M3 mixer and microphone packages, or provide a suitable mixer and microphones of your own. Stage monitors, a sound engineer, site power supply, delivery and event-specific additions are quoted separately.

Community discounts on stage hire do not automatically apply to externally sourced sound equipment; any sound package discount is confirmed in the quotation.

Operating position

Production racks are normally grouped in a rear stage corner and controlled wirelessly. The shared FOH1 Covered Front-of-House Position can be added where a dedicated operating position is required. Physical desks and console upgrades are selected separately.

Stage monitors

Stage monitors are not included in this audience PA package. Add MON1 Four-Speaker Stage Monitor Package if performers need monitoring, or ask JJL to recommend the complete sound setup. Mixer outputs determine how many separate monitor mixes are available.
